Golden Years ADHC serves seniors, veterans, and people living with disabilities. Our website should work for them too. We are committed to making goldenyearslegacy.org usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, or captioning.

What we are working toward

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. That standard covers things like readable text contrast, keyboard access, clear headings, and descriptive links.

What we have done

• Text and background colors chosen for readable contrast
• Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images
• Headings, lists, and landmarks structured so screen readers can navigate the page
• Buttons and links that can be reached and used with a keyboard
• Layouts that reflow on phones, tablets, and enlarged screens
• Reduced motion honored for visitors who set that preference on their device

Known limitations

Accessibility is ongoing work. Some older documents, embedded maps, and third-party tools, including our careers portal, are not fully under our control and may not meet the same standard. We are reviewing these and will improve or replace them.
